Prescription Policy

We make lenses to your prescription — we do not write one

EYVRO is an eyewear retailer and optical workshop. We cut and fit lenses to the prescription your eye-care professional has given you. We do not perform remote eye examinations, we do not diagnose eye conditions, and we cannot tell you what your prescription should be.

If you do not have a current prescription, or your vision has changed, see an optometrist or ophthalmologist for an eye test first.

Copy the values exactly

Whether you upload your prescription or type it in, the values must match your prescription exactly — including the plus or minus sign on each figure. We make the lenses to the numbers we are given.

If anything is unclear or missing we will contact you before cutting, rather than guessing.

Prescription validity

Prescriptions change over time. If yours is more than a couple of years old we would recommend a fresh test before ordering, but the decision is yours and we will fill what you send us.

How your prescription is stored

A prescription is health information and we treat it that way. It is used to make your lenses and to service your order, it is visible to our optical team, and it is not sold or shared for marketing.

When we cannot fill a prescription

Some prescriptions cannot be made in some frames — a high power in a rimless mount, for example, or a wide progressive corridor in a shallow lens. If yours is one of those we will tell you and suggest frames that will work, rather than making something that will not.
