This guide explains the options we actually fit at Deepak Opticals, in plain words, with our real prices.

Regular lenses
Clear prescription lenses that correct your power. They're the most affordable option and a sensible choice for a backup pair, for a child who may outgrow their prescription soon, or for anyone who simply wants to see clearly without extras.
Blue cut lenses
Blue cut (also called blue-light filtering, or "computer lenses") have a coating that filters part of the blue light from screens and LED lighting. Many people who spend the day on a laptop or phone prefer them, and they are the most popular upgrade for office workers and students.
An honest note: a blue cut lens is a filter, not a treatment. If your eyes feel tired after screen work, regular breaks and an up-to-date prescription matter too, and an eye test is the right first step if the discomfort continues.
Anti-glare (anti-reflective) lenses
An anti-reflective coating cuts reflections on the lens surface. In practice that means fewer reflections from headlights and street lights when driving at night, less glare from tube lights and screens, and less shine in photos and video calls, so people see your eyes rather than a reflection.
Magnus lenses
A step up from regular lenses, with improved clarity and better resistance to knocks. A good middle ground if you wear your glasses all day and want them to last.
Crizal lenses
Crizal is Essilor's premium coated lens range. It combines a strong anti-reflective coating with scratch resistance and a surface that repels smudges, water and dust, so it stays clean longer. If you wear glasses from morning to night and hate cleaning them, Crizal is worth considering.
Single vision, bifocal or progressive?
This is a different question from the coating. It depends on your prescription:
- Single vision: one power across the whole lens, for distance or reading.
- Bifocal: distance on top, reading at the bottom, with a visible line.
- Progressive: distance to near with no visible line.

Which lens should you pick?
- Mostly on screens: blue cut.
